1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Gochiso ("the App"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you download Gochiso from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies unless a custom license is provided. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Service Nature
Gochiso is a family recipe book for iPhone and iPad, developed by Orochi Systems. It keeps the recipes, photos, voice memos, notes, and cooking records you create, lets you share cookbooks with people you invite, and offers Cooking Mode, a cooking timer, a family album, a Measures reference, widgets, and backups. Gochiso is free of charge, contains no in-app purchases, and has no subscription. Every feature is included. Feature availability can vary by device, OS version, region, language, and configuration; some recipe understanding features require a device with Apple Intelligence.
3. Your Recipes and Content
You are responsible for the recipes, photos, voice memos, notes, backups, and other content you create or import in Gochiso. You retain ownership of what you create. Recipes you import from websites or scan from books remain the work of their authors; import them for your own household's cooking and respect the rights of those authors if you share or export them. Do not use the App to store unlawful content or content you are not authorized to keep.
4. Shared Cookbooks
When you share a cookbook, everyone you invite can view, add, and edit the recipes in it, and can see the name attached to each recipe. You decide whom to invite and can remove participants or stop sharing at any time. You are responsible for what you share and with whom. Participants are responsible for what they add to a cookbook that is not theirs. Sharing is provided by Apple's iCloud sharing and is subject to Apple's terms and availability.
5. Recipe Understanding, Measures, and Cooking
Scanning, voice transcription, link import, and the sorting of text into ingredients and steps are automatic and can make mistakes, especially with handwriting, accents, unusual units, or unstructured web pages. Review every imported recipe before you rely on it. The Measures tab gives kitchen approximations for cups, spoons, weights, and oven temperatures; it is a convenience, not a laboratory reference. Cooking involves heat, sharp tools, allergens, and food-safety judgments that only you can make. Gochiso does not verify that a recipe is safe, complete, or suitable for anyone's diet or allergies.
6. iCloud Sync
If iCloud Sync is on, Gochiso stores your recipes in your private iCloud database so they appear on your other devices and in cookbooks you share. Sync depends on Apple's iCloud service, your Apple Account, your network connection, and your device settings, and it can be delayed or unavailable. When the same recipe is edited in two places, the later edit is kept. Gochiso is not responsible for delays, conflicts, or failures in Apple's sync infrastructure. You can turn iCloud Sync off in the App, in which case your recipes stay only on that device.
7. Backups, Export, Deletion
Gochiso can export a complete backup of your library, including photos and voice memos, and a printable PDF cookbook, to a location you pick, and can restore from either. Restoring merges rather than overwrites. Deleting a recipe removes it from your library and, through sync, from your other devices and shared cookbooks; Delete All Recipe Data removes the cookbooks you own from iCloud and the device; deleting the App removes its local library from that device. You are responsible for keeping separate backups of information you consider important and for protecting exported files after they leave the App.
8. Photographs and Voice Memos
Photographs you attach are taken with the camera or chosen through the system photo picker, and voice memos are recorded with the microphone, only when you ask. They are stored inside your library and travel with it through sync, sharing, and backups. You are responsible for having the right to keep and, if you share or export them, to distribute any photographs or recordings you attach.
9. Importing From Websites
When you import from a link, Gochiso loads that website on your device as a browser would. The website's own terms and privacy practices apply to that visit. Gochiso does not control third-party websites, cannot guarantee that any page can be imported, and is not responsible for their content.
10. Earlier Versions
People who used a pre-release version of Gochiso with an account may be offered a one-time copy of that earlier library into their iCloud, after confirming their identity with Sign in with Apple. That import is read-only toward the retired server. The Privacy Policy explains what the earlier service may retain and how to request deletion.
11. Device and Feature Requirements
Gochiso requires iOS 18.2 or iPadOS 18.2 or later. iCloud Sync and sharing require an Apple Account signed in to iCloud. On-device language-model features require a device with Apple Intelligence; on other devices a built-in parser is used. Feature availability can change as Apple platforms change.
12. Acceptable Use
You may not misuse Gochiso, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, abuse system integrations such as iCloud sharing, or use the App for unlawful activity.
13. Third Party Platforms
Gochiso depends on Apple platforms and services including iCloud and CloudKit, iCloud sharing, Speech and Vision, Apple Intelligence where available, notifications and Live Activities, the camera and photo picker, the Files app, and App Store distribution. We are not responsible for third party outages, policy changes, or service failures.
14. Intellectual Property
Gochiso, including its software, design, the bowl mark and alternate icons, themes, branding, and related materials, is owned by Orochi Systems and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or decompile the App, or use our trademarks, without written consent. The recipes you create remain yours.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
Gochiso is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, uninterrupted sync or sharing, error free recipe understanding, or the accuracy of any conversion, temperature, time, or imported recipe.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orochi Systems is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of recipes, photos, or recordings, arising from your use of Gochiso. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the preceding 12 months. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
17. Termination
We may suspend or discontinue features if these Terms are violated or if service components are discontinued. You may stop using Gochiso at any time by deleting the App.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Turkey, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you have under the consumer law of the country where you live.
