Terms & Conditions
Last updated: October 5, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Eos ("the App"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you download Eos from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies unless a custom license is provided. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Eos Is Not a Medical Device and Gives No Medical Advice
Eos is a reminder and record-keeping tool for medication, developed by Orochi Systems. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, treat, prevent or monitor any disease or condition, and it gives no medical advice. It adds no thresholds, limits or judgements of its own: any limits shown for blood pressure or blood sugar are the ones you, your family or your doctor entered, and Eos never tells you whether a reading is good or bad. Nothing in the App is a substitute for the advice of a doctor, pharmacist or other qualified health professional. Always follow their instructions about your medication, including what to do about a dose you have missed, and never change a dose because of anything the App shows. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.
3. Eos Cannot Be Relied On as an Alert or Monitoring Service
Eos is not a medical alert service, a monitoring service, or a care service. It does not contact the emergency services, it does not call or message anyone by itself, and no one is watching on the other end. Reminders are local notifications on your own device. Whether and when you see one depends on your phone and your settings: the silent switch, a Focus or Sleep mode, your notification settings, a scheduled notification summary, Low Power Mode, a phone that is off, out of battery, restarting or in the middle of an update, and the limits iOS places on how many notifications an app may have pending. Eos tells you on its first screen when it can detect a setting that would hold a reminder back, but it cannot guarantee that any reminder will be delivered, shown, heard or acted upon. Help requests, records, readings and daily summaries can be shared with your family through Messages or another app that you choose. You review and send them yourself. The Messages app reports a text as sent once it has been queued, so a text may not yet have been delivered; check that Messages shows it as delivered, and call instead if it matters. Delivery depends on your carrier or on Apple's iMessage service, on your recipient's device, and on both of you having signal. Do not use Eos as the only safeguard for a person who may come to harm if a dose is missed or a message does not arrive.
4. Service Nature
Eos runs on iPhone and includes an Apple Watch app, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, a Watch complication, and a Siri shortcut. It is free of charge, contains no in-app purchases, and has no subscription. Every feature is included. There is no account, no login, and no Orochi Systems server: everything you enter is stored on your own device. Feature availability can vary by device, OS version, region, language and configuration.
5. Your Records and Your Responsibility for Them
You are responsible for what you enter: your medication, its doses and times, your schedule, your supply counts, your notes, your voice records, your readings, your family contacts and your emergency information. You retain ownership of your records. Eos shows you what you entered and what you marked; adherence percentages, supply counts, reports and summaries are computed from those entries and are only as accurate as they are. If a caregiver or family member sets up or edits medication on someone else's behalf, they are responsible for doing so correctly and for having that person's agreement.
6. Apple Health
If you switch it on, Eos reads blood pressure and blood glucose from the Apple Health app, read-only, and only readings recorded after you switched it on. Eos never writes to Apple Health. Whether a reading reaches Eos depends on Apple Health, on the device or app that wrote it, and on your permissions; Eos does not control and is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of data from other apps and devices. You can withdraw Eos's Health permissions at any time in the Apple Health app.
7. Microphone, Speech Recognition and Recordings
Voice records use the microphone, and turning speech into text uses Apple's speech recognition, which depending on your language, device and settings may process the audio on the device or on Apple's servers under Apple's terms. Speech recognition can mishear, and Eos may misread what it transcribes, which is why every voice record is confirmed by you and the App tells you exactly which dose it will mark before you save. You are responsible for checking that what was understood is what you meant. Recordings are kept on your device until you delete them.
8. The Caregiver Lock
The optional 4-digit caregiver code is a guard against accidental changes, not a security feature. It never covers I TOOK IT, RECORD or ASK FOR HELP, and it does not protect your information against anyone who has your unlocked phone. Do not treat it as a password.
9. Export, Deletion and Backups
Eos can hand a report, a daily summary, a PDF or a diagnostics file to the iOS share sheet, at which point you choose where it goes and you are responsible for protecting it. Deleting a record, reading, medication or contact removes it from the App. Deleting the App removes everything Eos stored on that device, including recordings and photos; Orochi Systems holds no copy and cannot restore it. Your information is included in your own iPhone backups, which are governed by Apple's terms and your settings. You are responsible for keeping backups of anything you consider important.
10. Device and Feature Requirements
Eos requires iOS 18 or later on iPhone, and watchOS 11 or later for the Apple Watch app. Reading from Apple Health requires a device where Health is available. Sending text messages requires that your device and account can send them. Feature availability can change as Apple platforms change.
11. Acceptable Use
You may not misuse Eos, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, abuse system integrations, or use the App for unlawful activity.
12. Third Party Platforms
Eos depends on Apple platforms and services including local notifications, the Messages app, Apple Health, Apple's speech recognition, WatchConnectivity, WidgetKit, Siri and App Store distribution, and on your mobile carrier for text messages and calls. We are not responsible for third party outages, policy changes or service failures.
13. Intellectual Property
Eos, including its software, design, icon, branding and related materials, is owned by Orochi Systems and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer or decompile the App, or use our trademarks, without written consent. Medication and manufacturer names you enter are used only to identify your own records.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
Eos is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, the delivery of any reminder or message, error-free record keeping, or the accuracy or completeness of any count, percentage, report or imported reading.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orochi Systems is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of records, arising from your use of Eos, including any missed, late, duplicated or incorrectly recorded dose, any reminder that was not delivered or not seen, and any message that was not sent, not delivered or not read. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the preceding 12 months, which for a free app is zero. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
16. Termination
We may suspend or discontinue features if these Terms are violated or if service components are discontinued. You may stop using Eos at any time by deleting the App.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Turkey, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you have under the consumer law of the country where you live.
