1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Moonstone ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Moonstone is an AI-powered dream journal application that allows you to record and store dreams via text or voice input, receive AI-powered dream analysis and psychological insights, track patterns in your dreams over time, explore dream symbolism through a built-in dictionary grounded in Jungian psychology, optionally sync your data across devices, and export your dream journal as JSON or PDF.
3. User Eligibility
Moonstone is not intended for children under 13. By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age or that a parent or legal guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
4. Account Registration
Certain features of the App, including cloud sync, require you to create an account using Sign in with Apple. By creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information, maintain the security of your account credentials, accept responsibility for all activities under your account, and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. The App is fully functional without an account for local-only use.
5. Subscription Terms
Moonstone offers a free tier that allows up to 3 dream entries with AI analysis. Beyond this limit, a Pro subscription is required. Pro is available as a monthly plan ($6.99/month) or yearly plan ($34.99/year). Pro features include unlimited dream logging, deep AI analysis with detailed psychological insights, weekly and monthly pattern reports, cloud sync across devices, PDF export, and sleep correlation analytics via HealthKit. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your App Store account settings. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.
6. AI Analysis Disclaimer
Moonstone's AI-powered dream analysis is generated by Claude AI (Anthropic) and is provided for self-reflection, entertainment, and personal insight purposes only. It is NOT intended to provide medical, psychological, or psychiatric diagnosis, replace professional mental health care or therapy, treat or manage any medical or psychological condition, or provide emergency or crisis intervention. Dream interpretations should be considered as one possible perspective, not definitive psychological analysis. Dreams can have many meanings, and AI analysis has inherent limitations. If you are experiencing psychological distress, recurring nightmares, or any mental health concerns, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.
7. Voice Recording & Transcription
Moonstone offers voice recording for dream capture. Audio is recorded in WAV format and transcribed entirely on your device using WhisperKit (an on-device speech recognition framework). Audio recordings are automatically deleted immediately after transcription completes. No audio data is ever transmitted to external servers. You can review and edit the transcribed text before saving your dream entry.
8. User Content
You retain full ownership of all dream content you create in the App. By using the App, you grant Orochi Systems a limited license to store your content to provide the service, process your content for AI analysis when you request it, and transmit your content for cloud sync if you choose to enable it. You agree not to use the App to store illegal content, attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service, violate any applicable laws or regulations, or infringe on the rights of others.
9. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, code, dream dictionary content, AI prompt engineering, and all associated materials (excluding user-generated content), is owned by Orochi Systems and protected by intellectual property laws. The dream dictionary content is based on psychological interpretations grounded in Jungian psychology and may not be reproduced without permission. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the App, reverse engineer or decompile the App, or use our trademarks without written consent.
10. Third-Party Services
Moonstone integrates with the following third-party services: Anthropic (Claude AI for dream analysis — dream text is sent to their API when you request analysis), Supabase (cloud storage and authentication for Pro users who enable sync), Apple (Sign in with Apple for account creation, App Store for purchases, and optional HealthKit integration for sleep data), and RevenueCat (subscription and in-app purchase management). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Orochi Systems does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or applicability of AI-generated dream analysis. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orochi Systems shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Orochi Systems from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
14. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users or third parties, or is fraudulent or illegal. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. You may export your data before termination using the App's export features.
15. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Turkey.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
