1. Overview
Kagami is a private habit-tracking app developed by Orochi Systems. It is built around local habit logging, heatmap reflection, widgets, Apple Watch and Mac companion surfaces, and optional iCloud sync through Apple's CloudKit infrastructure.
2. Habit Data Stored by Kagami
Kagami stores the habit information you choose to create, including habit names, symbols, colors, habit type, targets, increments, reminder preferences, sort order, creation and update dates, daily log events, derived progress, streaks, export files, settings, and sync metadata.
3. No Orochi Systems Account or Developer Collection
Kagami does not require an Orochi Systems account. In the current implementation reviewed for this policy, Kagami does not send your habit names, log history, reminders, exports, or settings to an Orochi Systems server. The app's privacy manifests declare no data collected for tracking or developer collection.
4. Local Storage and App Group Sharing
Habit data is stored on your device using Apple storage frameworks. Kagami uses shared app-group storage so the main app, widgets, Apple Watch companion, and Mac app can read or write the habit information needed for their surfaces.
5. iCloud and CloudKit Sync
If iCloud is available and enabled, Kagami can sync habit data through your private CloudKit database. Kagami also supports local-only operation when iCloud is unavailable or disabled. Sync is tied to the Apple account configured on your devices, not an Orochi Systems login, and Apple may process iCloud and CloudKit data under Apple's own terms and privacy practices.
6. Widgets, App Intents, Siri, and Shortcuts
Kagami may expose habit identifiers, habit names, symbols, progress, and quick-log actions to Apple system surfaces such as widgets, App Intents, Siri, Shortcuts, and watch complications so you can configure and log habits without opening the full app. Widget writes may be mirrored to CloudKit after the main app next runs.
7. Notifications and Reminders
If reminder features are enabled, Kagami may schedule local notifications on your device. Notification titles or bodies may include the habit name or habit type so the reminder is useful. You can manage or revoke notification permission in Apple settings.
8. Exports
Kagami may provide JSON export tools for your habits and history. Exported files are created only when you choose to export, and you control where those files are saved or shared after export.
9. Data Deletion and Retention
You can delete habits, reset data, or remove local app data by deleting Kagami from your devices. If iCloud sync is enabled, destructive actions such as deleting habits or resetting data may propagate to other devices signed into the same Apple account. iCloud data may also be managed through Apple iCloud controls.
10. Analytics, Ads, and Tracking
Kagami is not built around advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or sale of personal data. In the current implementation reviewed for this policy, we did not identify an Orochi Systems analytics pipeline that uploads habit activity or behavioral history. If analytics are introduced in a future version, they will be disclosed in the app and this policy will be updated.
11. Security
Kagami relies on Apple platform security, device sandboxing, and encrypted transport where applicable. No storage or sync system can be guaranteed completely secure.
12. Children's Privacy
Kagami is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
13. International Users
If you use Kagami outside your home jurisdiction, local privacy laws may apply. Apple platform providers may process operational data under their own infrastructure and legal obligations.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
