1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Amethyst ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Service Nature
Amethyst is an iPhone SSH terminal for connecting to remote servers and running command-line workflows from mobile devices. Features may include SSH sessions, Mosh-aware mode, SFTP file operations, local port forwarding, host discovery, and command workflow tools.
3. Access Model
In the current implementation, Amethyst does not require a separate app account and does not include an in-app subscription paywall for basic operation. Product behavior may evolve in future releases.
4. Eligibility
Amethyst is a general-audience developer tool. You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the App.
5. Device and Feature Requirements
Feature availability depends on supported iOS versions, network conditions, remote server configuration, and optional Apple permissions (for example camera, local network, notifications, and biometric capabilities).
6. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the servers and infrastructure you connect to, your credential security, and all commands executed through the App. You must ensure that your use of Amethyst complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party terms.
7. Credentials and Security
Amethyst uses platform security mechanisms such as iOS Keychain for storing sensitive credentials when you choose to save them. You remain responsible for protecting your device passcode, account security, and remote server access policies.
8. Host Key Trust Decisions
Amethyst may block connections when host keys are untrusted or mismatched. You are responsible for validating host identity before trusting a presented host key.
9. Permissions and Controls
Optional features may request Camera (QR import), Local Network access (host discovery), Notifications (local alerts), and Face ID/Touch ID (credential protection). You can deny or revoke permissions in iOS Settings, which may reduce feature availability.
10. Acceptable Use
You may not use Amethyst for illegal activity, unauthorized access, abuse of networks or systems, distribution of malware, or any activity that harms others. We may restrict access to the App if misuse is detected.
11. Third-Party Dependencies
Amethyst relies on Apple platform services and your chosen SSH targets. We are not responsible for failures, downtime, security incidents, or policy changes of third-party services, remote hosts, or network providers.
12. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, branding, software, and related materials, is owned by Orochi Systems and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the App except as permitted by applicable law.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
Amethyst is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, compatibility with every environment, or that the App will be error-free.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orochi Systems shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including data loss, business interruption, or unauthorized server access resulting from user-side security practices.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to all or part of the App if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Turkey.
