Email amethyst@orochisystems.com for support. We can help with connection setup, SSH key/password auth, host-key trust prompts, discovery issues, terminal behavior, SFTP, and troubleshooting reconnect behavior.
2. What to Include
Please include your iPhone model, iOS version, Amethyst app version, and a short description of the problem. If possible, include steps to reproduce and the exact error text shown in Amethyst.
3. Quick Connection Checks
Before contacting support, verify host/IP, port, username, auth method, and whether the SSH server is reachable from your current network. For key auth, confirm the matching public key is present in the server's authorized_keys.
4. Host Key and Auth Issues
If Amethyst blocks a host key, verify the server fingerprint out-of-band before trusting it. If biometric unlock is enabled, ensure Face ID/Touch ID and device passcode are configured.
5. Local Discovery and QR Import
For local host scan, enable Local Network permission in iOS Settings and retry on the same Wi-Fi network. For QR import, ensure Camera access is granted; manual host entry remains available if camera access is denied.
6. SFTP and Mosh Notes
SFTP operations use your active SSH session and can fail if the remote shell environment is restricted. Mosh-aware mode depends on mosh-server availability on your host; if unavailable, use SSH mode.
7. Privacy and Data Controls
You can delete saved servers and credentials from within Amethyst settings/editor flows. Avoid sharing passwords, private keys, tokens, or unredacted terminal output in support emails.
